Here is a list of the blood tests that I do twice a year. You can request for these tests at your GP or go directly to a lab to do them.

  • Fasting glucose
  • Lipids
  • Liver
  • Kidney
  • Calcium, uric acid
  • Haematology
  • CK
  • Creatinine

Additional blood tests

  • Diabetes
    • Insulin
    • Hb1ac
  • HsCRP – inflammation
  • Vit D
  • Iron Studies
    • Iron
    • Transferritin
  • Endocrine
    • Ferritin
    • Homocysteine (measures if glutathione is sufficient)
    • Vitamin B12
    • Folic Acid
  • Special lipids
    • Lipoprotein(a) – read more
    • Apolipoprotein A1
    • Apolipoprotein B
  • Cancer markers
    • Ca199 (gastro/pancreatic)
    • Cea (cancer enzymes)
    • Ca125 (ovary)
    • Ca153 (breast)

Your standard GP will not even have heard of some of these tests for you and will not know how to interpret the results. To see a GP, you can go to Tucker Medical to see Dr Sak or you can consult with an experienced nutritionist (I see Katherine at Aman Wellness who is absolutely wonderful).

To do these tests directly at a lab, go to Path Labs.
